Maid of Honour

Lauren and Shannon have known each other since high school and have often said they are like official-unofficial sisters because of all the things they’ve been through together. When Shannon first moved out from her parent’s house, her and Lauren were roommates for a number of years which strengthened the ‘sisterly’ bond. Eventually Lauren moved to B.C. to take performing arts in school and the friendship continued, albeit with less frequent contact. Once Lauren finished school she, thankfully, moved back to Regina where their friendship has continued to grow. Lauren is now a teacher in the Regina Public School system.

Kate Chastkiewicz

Kate and Shannon initially knew each other as kids from way back in the days of rec soccer and only lived a few blocks from each other, although didn’t become closer until high school. They have been great friends ever since, and often Kate, Lauren, and Shannon can be seen hanging out together. Kate and Shannon have spent many a night with tea in hand chatting away, whether it’s discussing politics, human rights or more light-hearted topics. If you don’t find them with tea in hand you may find them walking around the lake. Kate works for Chaz Sales as a Sales Consultant; this is a family run business that deals with power generators, transmission, and other things that Shannon only half understands!

Lora Camp

Lora and Shannon have also known each other since high school and became fast friends in grade 9, with many many inside jokes from high school that still make them giggle today. They have been there for each other through thick and thin and although Lora now lives in Edmonton with her husband, Chris, and their son Jonathan, any time Lora and Shannon are able to meet up it’s like they’ve never been apart. Lora is also a teacher and works for the Suzuki Charter School of Music in Edmonton.

Karlee Jensen

Karlee is Mike’s little sister, is ten years younger than Mike, and is an adventurer. She recently came back from a year+ long trip in Sweden where she was a nanny (Au Pair), and an inspiration to Mike and Shannon to get up and travel.  With friends from literally all over the world now, Karlee is going to be the couple’s go-to on the best places to travel, and potential translator! When you get Mike and Karlee together, jokes are almost non-stop and they constantly have Shannon laughing at their antics.

Mike Arnold

Best Man

Mike and Mike have been best buds since they met at Co-op camp when they were 13. (Or alternatively, you can call them Moss and Arny.) They've had many a shenanigan, and never seem to actually live in the same city aside from a day in Weyburn, but through it all are just a call away from each other. Mike ("Arny") now lives in Weyburn with his wife Rhea and their son Elliott; he works in Regina at Team Industrial.

Mike and Coty met through refereeing hockey, shortly after Mike moved to Regina back in 2012 and just a few months before Shannon and Mike met. You can usually find these two either watching hockey at the closest pub or playing video games at one of their houses. Last year, Shannon managed to convince these two to go Black Friday shopping in the states, and they're hooked now! Coty lives in Milestone and works for AECOM.  

Jon Hill

Jon and Mike go back to the days of Lethbridge College where Mike was in the Broadcast Journalism program and was the Producer for Jon's radio show. They've kept up their friendship and are now hosting an Open Mic night together at Artful Dodger every Monday night. Jon loves to travel the world, has been to a number of continents, and is always good for an adventure story! He currently works at Sasktel and has likely been a large part of why Mike loves his technology. 

Jay Cameron

Jay and Mike met through the "neighbour lady", a neighbour of Mike's when he first moved to Regina and a friend of Jay's. Many nights of playing Cards Against Humanity later, they became roommates in 2014 and had many an adventure. Jay has a dry sense of humour, which is helpful as Jay works within Emergency Services for Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region (911 Dispatch). He currently lives in Regina just a few blocks away from Mike and Shannon.
